Top Company for Vocational Training

Would you like to be a part of this?

We know talents, vocational training and quality!

As a mid-sized company we have always emphasized the importance of excellent and successful vocational training. The Chamber of Industry and commerce has now honored our commitment: Transcoject is the first company in Neumünster to be awarded the prize for the “TOP-Ausbildungsbetrieb”.

Transcoject GmbH has been developing young talents, most importantly offering apprenticeships (3-year vocational training) and internships or work placements for more than 40 years. Almost 10% of our workforce are trainees. Our high quality awareness is also applied to apprenticeships in our company. And it shows: our success quota is 100%, trainees often make the transition to permanent employment and many of our trainees have passed their exams at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce with brilliant results.

Clearly: training young talents properly is very important to us.

In addition to the contents of our training schedule, our apprentices also are provided with space for their own projects which often contribute to making our processes more efficient; therefore, we are more than happy about proactive trainees.

While we cannot guarantee that we will employ every apprentice after her or his apprenticeship exam, we strive to offer employment to the majority of them.

Transcoject offers apprenticeships in the following jobs:

  • Laboratory assistant
  • Qualified IT specialist
  • Logistics specialist
  • Industrial business clerk
  • Industrial mechanics specialist
  • Process specialist
  • Tools specialist
  • Machinery operator

In addition, we generally offer combined apprentice/college-student traineeships (“duales Studium”) to qualified individuals in the areas of business administration, mechanical engineering and process engineering.

Meet three of our apprentices:

Whitney Plath, Qualified IT Specialist

Hello, I am Whitney Plath and I have started my training as a qualified IT specialist, specialization systems integration, at Transcoject in August 2012

Transcoject was my first choice because I wanted to work for a cosmopolitan company. I was also fascinated by the fact that Transcoject produces innovative products (medical devices and pharmaceutical packaging) – and so I decided I wanted to become a part of this company.

The main task of the IT department is ensuring that the system is up to date in order to avoid disruptions. Moreover, network administration is a major assignment and, of course, user support for all employees. I like helping my colleagues and giving them feed-back on the technical questions. All in all, the apprenticeship here at Transcoject is multi-faceted and therefore very interesting.

Every company has its particular atmosphere. What I think is special here is the fact that my position perceptibly important for the performance of the entire company. I am very happy that I chose to work and learn at Transcoject and I would recommend this apprenticeship to anybody looking for one.

Neele Nickeleit, Industrial Business Clerk

My name is Neele Nickeleit. I am 23 years old and currently in the third and final year of my vocational training.

The thing that pleases me most about an apprenticeship at Transcoject is the fact that you are accepted as a fully-fledged member of the team right from the start. Accordingly, in certain areas you are allowed to work independently and on your own responsibility. Therefore, I can introduce my own ideas and I can organise my daily agenda following my own concept. Furthermore, the atmosphere at work is very good – it has a family feeling to it.

During the course of my apprenticeship, I passed through all of the commercial departments in the business administration: the departments for purchasing, production planning and control, sales, accounting. But I was also introduced to the other departments, although for a short time only – production, warehouse, quality control, laboratory. The diversity of different departments and tasks makes the traineeship so attractive and it also allows an apprentice to quickly comprehend the economic background.

Tim Honermeier, Process Specialist

I am Tim Honermeier and I am completing my apprenticeship as a process specialist fort he area of plastic and rubber technology, specialization moulding.

I am training in this job because I am very interested in the topics technology and mechanics and because I think that this job offers great a great outlook into the future and possibilities for professional development.

My tasks include the preparation of production materials, the assembly and mounting of injection moulds, the optimization of the production process and the maintenance of machines.

I picked Transcoject because this company has proven that it is very solid – and I see the company continue on this path. I enjoy being part of the Transcoject family since the colleagues are really nice and have given me a great welcome.

Anybody who likes to work in a company that gives him a deep yet comprehensive insight into the technical context of various production processes should really come here.

Acknowledgment of excellence

We are extremely proud of our young talents.
